The problem
Glowing Sands needed a professional web presence capable of representing multiple business divisions without feeling fragmented or generic. The site needed to establish credibility quickly while remaining technically clean, fast, and maintainable.
Key decisions
Next.js for SEO and performance
Because the website’s primary purpose is discovery and first impressions, server-side rendering and strong performance characteristics mattered. Next.js provided both while simplifying deployment and routing.
Tailwind for fast iteration
Tailwind allowed rapid iteration on layout and design decisions without maintaining large CSS files. This made it easier to refine visual consistency while keeping the codebase lightweight.
Outcome
The result is a live production website that presents all company divisions professionally while maintaining strong performance and a clean technical foundation.
What I learned
Building websites for real businesses is less about visual experimentation and more about clarity, trust, and consistency. Design decisions need to communicate reliability as much as aesthetics.
